About

What To Expect

Our worship services are designed to give people the opportunity to have a dynamic, life-changing experience with Jesus Christ through worship, praise, and the preaching and study of God's Word. We preach and teach the infallible Word of God.

Our outreach ministries give people the opportunity to become involved in the evangelism of our community, state, nation, and world, through prayer and the use of our time, talents, and financial resources. We want to reach people where they are and meet their real needs, whether spiritual or physical.

Our ministry assists people of all ages in their journey of spiritual growth by offering opportunities for discipleship, Christian fellowship, and service to our community and world. We are a family of believers who care about individuals and their walk with Christ.

As you worship with us, our prayer for you is that you sense the presence of the Lord and feel the warmth of our fellowship. It is just like coming home.

Our Beliefs

We Believe:

  • That the Bible is the infallible Word of God, written by men by divine inspiration, and that it is the final and supreme authority in all matters of faith and Christian conduct. (2 Tim. 3:16; Heb. 4:12; 1 Peter 1:24-25; 2 Peter 1:20-21;Matt. 24:35; Ps. 119:89)
  • In one God, eternal, existing in three distinct Persons, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, who did create all that was created. (Matt. 3:13-17; 1 John 5:5-12)
  • In Jesus Christ, who was born of a virgin according to the prophecy of Isaiah, God in the flesh, the Promised Messiah and only Savior for sinful mankind; in His atoning death on the Cross; in His bodily resurrection and in His personal, physical return to the earth at the end of the age. (Matt. 1:18-25; John 1:1; 1 Peter 2:24; 1 John 2:1; Eph. 1:7; Rev. 1:5)
  • In the indwelling of every believer by the Holy Spirit of God. (1 Cor. 12:11-13; John 14:16-17)
  • Salvation is totally by grace through faith. We believe that all mankind are sinners by birth and unable to come into the presence of God in their present state, and can be redeemed only by the shed blood of Jesus Christ. We are unable to attain eternal life through our own efforts, as salvation is of the Lord. Those who approach Him in faith and repentance shall not be turned away. (Eph 2:8-9; Titus 3:5; Rom. 3:10, 23; John 6:37; James 1:22)
  • We believe that baptism is a testimony of salvation and is not for salvation. We believe that baptism is to be by immersion in water in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Anyone accepting Christ as their Savior for salvation shall follow the Lord in Believer’s Baptism as a testimony of our dying with Christ and being raised in newness of life. (Matt. 3:13-16; Matt. 28:19; Rom. 6:3-6)
  • That every person shall be resurrected from the dead, the believers to eternal life, and the unbelievers to eternal damnation. (1 Cor. 15:1-58; Rev. 20:4-6)
  • We affirm the belief that the true Church consists of all individuals who have placed their trust in Jesus Christ for salvation. Furthermore, we hold that Christ is the head of the Church. (Eph. 2:19-22; Eph. 5:23)

Our Pastor's Family

Chris and Bethany joined Village Missions in 2021 after completing Contenders Discipleship Initiative (CDI). They are currently serving in Nisland, SD.

Before joining VM, they were both active in their local church, serving as laypeople until God called Chris to leave the workforce and enter the ministry with his family. After attending a Village Missions church in Mingo, KS, they both felt led to be missionaries to rural America.

Chris and Bethany have five children, who still live at home.

Chris and Bethany love focusing on family based ministries along with men’s and women’s groups.
